Awarded an NSF NAIRR Pilot Classroom allocation!

The project, “Hands-on AI Fundamentals and Modern Generative AI Education Using Classroom-Scale GPU and LLM Resources,” gives about 95 students in CAP 4630: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence a shared GPU environment on the Prototype National Research Platform in Spring 2027 for hands-on work with deep learning, LLMs and vision-language models. The proposal was rated Excellent and approved in full.
